Default Common Tools

Hey guys... heres a brief background on my situation. My parents own a hardware store and have decided to retire, so they are selling it come end of may. I get tools and such at costs from the warehouse, so, what tools should I invest in for me while I get them so cheap? I'm looking for things that come next year when I get a house and I can get myself a decent garage for a change. Id like to be able to have the tools to do basic mechanics.. torque wrenches, ect. whats some tools that help people starting out? whats some tools you wish you guys had?

That is a BIGquestion. See Sears/Craftsman catalog. One of each.

you won't regret the biggest **** air compressor you can get
Then of course you need at least one of each tool it operates, hoses, etc, etc.( sander, cut-off, die grinder, impact gun, ratchet, hammer, paint, etc.)
since you have the compressor now, you might as well get some nail guns of all sorts (brad, framing, etc.)
You ar in for a very LONG few months.
good luck with your process of elimination.
