Default Cold Start Issue 2000 Monte Carlo

I have a 2000 Monte Carlo SS 3.8L and recently posted about a MAF problem. My car is having issues with stalling and will not start when it's cold with the MAF connected. We replaced MAF sensor, IAC valve, Intake Temperature sensor, K&N Filter, and throttle control sensor. Nothing seems to be working. When MAF is disconnected, no problems starting but sometimes get some backfires and hesitations. Checked for exhaust leakes too and checked the fuel pump, all aokay. Anyone have any similar issues? We are getting O2 code INC sometimes, but not all the time. Could it be an O2 sensor?

- Are you throwing any codes?
- Have you tried MAF cleaner (sometimes an oil-ed air filter like the K&N can gunk up the MAF)?
- Check for debris on the MAF screen on the throttle body?
- Check/change fuel filter?
- If you're at 100,000 miles or close to it, change the plugs and wires (do not use BOSCH plugs). Even if it does not solve the problem, it's good maintenance.

That's the list in the order I would approach it. Post more data and we'll see what we can do.

Plugs and wires have been changed, MAF sensor is new and has been cleaned numerous times. Have not changed the fuel filter. Codes have been all over the place. Sometimes O2 sensor, sometimes misfire on cylinder 3. Nothing consistent, always changing.

Did you ever diagnose the MAF circuit as described in your 'Help with MAF' thread?

If no power check the ENG DEVICES fuse located in the lower fuseblock underhood. If all that checks out then the MAF sensor needs to be tested for proper operation with a scanner tool. With the engine running at operating temperature it should read 4 to 6 grams per second at idle and rapidly increase and remain steady with an increase in throttle that is held steady. It it doesn't remain steady then the MAF sensor is malfunctioning.

Each time you scan codes, can you post those groups (the actual codes not their references). It might help lead to something. Those codes are being thrown for a reason, the car might have multiple conditions going on (hence the trouble with seeing consistency) and by removing a variable (the MAF sensor) causes the car to change what it's doing as a result.
Also, when cleaning the MAF, what are you using to clean it with?

I will try to get the exact codes and post them. MAF has been cleaned with MAF cleaner.
