My 1996 Monte Carlo Z34 3.4L DOHC is throwing this code: P0140 Secondary Air Injection System Malfunction. I went OBD-codes to see what it contains. This is a link to what I got: http://www.obd-codes.com/p0410

I am curious as to how I can go about checking this. I haven't checked the fuse yet, which is on my list to do.

 

i'd say try replacin the pump

 

check the fuse and let us know

 

Go to AutoZone and get them to Plug-in the Reader and get the Codes and any Pending. THEN ... Go inside and Plug-in the Code reader to the Printer. Get the FULL Diagnostic Read-out with ... WITH >>> TROUBLESHOOTING and Repair recommendations. The Print-out will tell you what to do and in WHAT ORDER. Follow the instructions and you'll see if its something thats a Fuse, easy fix or something requiring new parts.

 

I didn't know that autozone did that because I am used to advanced auto. My advanced only did the computer scan to tell you what the code is. I'll have to do the autozone.

 

Anyone know about the recall on this car?
