Cluster problems / Head unit
Hi everyone
Im new to the site and I have a few questions.
I recently bought a 2004 Monte Carlo LS. The previous owner had an aftermarket radio in it which he kept. He didn't have the stock head unit so I am driving around without any radio right now. I have been debating on getting a stock head unit or using an older aftermarket unit my friend has for free. I have been having some problems with the gauges not working intermittently. The Chevy dealer said that it is probably because I don't have the stock unit it the vehicle since the computer works though it.
Does this sound right?
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Has anyone had a similar problem?
Thanks in advance for the help
