Definitely shouldnt be a common thing lol unless people just don't care about front end.might cv joint?not real familiar with newer montes but from my knowkedge of other vehicles and schooling that's seems likely to be cause of prob.welcome to the site!

Welcome to the site. Is the clicking noise only when your turning a specific direction? 7800 miles seems like a low amount of miles on a cv joint to fail.

Is it loud? If it's not THAT loud, and you can kind of "feel" it in the steering wheel. It could just be a problem with the ISS (intermediate steering shaft). GM never did get those right, every spring I actually shoot some grease into mine and the clicking feeling goes away.

Clicking noise only on har turn to left
I have a 2006 Monte Carlo SS with 61k miles. I am the original owner and have not had any issues with the car. Now, if I take a hard left turn I hear a clicking sound coming from passenger side front wheel. I suspect the CV joint is failing. I do not feel anything in the steering wheel. Any other Ideas ? Seems a little early for CV failure. The boots are intact and show no signs of leakage. I hope this is nota sign of other component failures. I have enjoyed this car for 6 years.
