Default Car problems

My 2002 Monte Carlo SS turns off on me sometimes when I come to a stop or when I'm in the middle of a turn and the car doesn't start up right away(this isn't every time I drive but enough to cause concern) ....Any suggestions to fix this problem?

How are your brakes? The only experience I have had with a vehicle that the engine died when stopping or turning had a defective brake booster. Maybe a vacuum leak somewhere? Hopefully someone else may have additional suggestions.

I would check the MAF and IAC sensors. They are supposed to give the car the proper readings to keep the car from dying.

Could also be a fuel pressure problem.

My guess would be ignition switch. If your car dies like you turned off the key, that is a classic symptom of the ignition switch. Years ago my 72 Ford LTD started doing that and it was the ignition switch and last year my 92 Cavalier started doing it also and it was also this same switch.

I just recently got a new EVAP Valve because it was causing the check engine light to turn on and last winter I had to replace the ignition key because it got stuck and was draining the battery....I will try to make a video better demonstrating what happends

If the MAF and IAC sensors were malfunctioning, they should set off the CEL. I know it did on my fiance's grandmother's 99 Park avenue that she use to have with the 3800 in it. Her symptom was mostly a no start one, not dying while driving.

It could be a fuel pressure problem. How long since the fuel filter was changed.?

A bad MAF won't always set off the CEL

I know, I've been through 2 of them

More information please...when was the last time you changed the fuel filter? Had a tune up? Does the car run well? and by that I mean: get good mileage, not stumble when accelerating, Idle well, etc.. You mentioned turning, is it always to the left...or the right...either....or is it inconsistent?

Not entirely true. If the sensor falls within a specific threshold it will throw a light, but if the resistance is still tolerable to the car, it won't throw a code, yet you will stall or the car will still die.
