like a hisitation from when you turn the key to when it actually fires??
that would be something electronic like spark plugs, wires or a coil i would think

Could be a could of things
1. Check the oil/fuel pressure switch. Some GM vehicles the fuel switch in made in with the oill pressure. If you have low or no oil pressure it turns off the fuel pump. If the switch is going bad it will not turn the fuel pump on until you have cranked the engine for a couple of seconds.
2. If its not the switch I would have the fuel filter replaces along with have the fuel pressure checked
