Default Car Battery

Does any one know why the 2006 monte carlo with the 3.9 needs to have a 750cca battery? when the 3.5 needs a 600 cca and the 5.3 a 650 cca.

I dont know the reason but my 3.4 uses a battery with 875 cca. Its DOHC but still you would think the 5.3 would need the most amps.

I think the original equipment batteries are on the weak side myself. I replaced the 2001 3.4 monte battery with a 770 cca one. My 2007 Impala with the 3.5 had a Delco 600 cca that just started giving out so I replaced that with a 770 also. Always worth it to have the extra power in Minnesota!

very interesting, I never knew this! I did have my battery replaced when I bought my car. They replaced it with a NAPA battery, when I get a chance, I'm gonna see what rating it is!
