Default A/C being weird.

What would be causing my A/C to blow cold on the passenger side and warm on the driver side in my '01 monte carlo??

The actuator motor down under the dash has prob bit the dust. There's one for each side, not expensive but a little of a pain in the sack to change but nothing a few 4 letter words won't ease lol

It may not be the actuator. I had the same issue, it was low on freon. $30.00 later i had ice cold air from both sides again. have the shop check your freon first!!!! Our cars are known to blow hot on drivers side when low on freon

mine did the same and the driver side actuator was bad. blow cold as ice out passenger vents. the hot/cold slider for driver side wouldnt change the temp for driver side. the actuator motor for the door was stuck. If it blows good and cold out one side freon level shouldnt be a problem. If semi cool, then yea i can see freon being low.

Thanks for the input! I'll be sure to check that out and see if it is the problem.
