Info: A/C
Ok so here is my problem. I have a 2000 ss, and my A/C is not blowing out of my front vents hard enough. The blower motor is turning on, and I can hear the fan speeding up when I switch through the speeds, BUT on the highest speed you cannot feel the air from 1-2 feet away. I recently changed the accumulator and high side valve because it was leaking, and I vacuumed the system and recharged it, so I know the system is at the right level, or at least close. (Low side 45, high side 185, 80 degrees outside) The air coming out of the vents is cold, and the heat will come on as well. I recently changed the cabin air filter hoping that would be the easy cheap fix, but it didn't change anything. The only thing I can think of was possibly the blend door actuator, resistor, or maybe a failing blower motor? Has anybody experienced this problem before?
I am comparing the A/C from my Silverado to my Monte Carlo. They both have a setting that goes from 1-4, and if you set my Monte Carlo fan speed to 4, its the same amount of air that comes out of my Silverado on a 1.

If its not a blend door issue...
Then its either the blower motor resistor... OR the blower motor its self.
I have a Silverado also...
I had to actually replace both on my Silverado...
I believe theres no real comparison of fan speeds ..
Ones a car... and ones a pick up...
