Thanks you guys for your input. Saturday morning, me and my mechanic are going to go back to the dealership and have another look at it. The dealer seems willing to fix the vehicle as they have a good reputation, but if it is to problematic the search will just continue. Personally, I believe there may be a crack in the radiator or just a leaky hose because the car seems to be well taken care of.

you could always check autotrader for a future monte if this monte is a no go!

Yes, thats actually where I found this one. Originally I was going to the dealer to look at a white one (the dealer had a black one also) but when I got there, they had just got the silver one which I liked better then both of the others because it was in better condition. I'm really hoping it's nothing major wrong with this car and the dealership is willing to fix it.

Petcock is on front right side. He said he saw coolant on front left.

That's odd. Mine is on the front left (driver's side). I replaced my radiator and saw it with my own eyes.

Even my GM repair manual shows it on the left (driver's side). I'm confused by your statement.

In this picture, you can see it at the lower left corner...

My car started leaking from the front left (driver's side) after I had my car in the shop. I pulled the radiator and installed a new one. After investigating the old radiator, I discovered the petcock was leaking. Hence, the reason I suggested it.

Sorry, I was thinking of a different car. It is indeed on the left.
