3rd Gen ('78-'80): brake pads anti rattle clip

brake pads anti rattle clip
1980 Monte. Putting new front rotors, calipers and pads on. I figured out where the anti rattle clip went on the inboard pad goes. My problem is,I can't figure out where the little clip goes on the outer pad. Here's a couple of pix.
