Is the Thrasher lsd still available new? They were only like $500 brand new..... Personally before I spent that much on a Thrasher lsd I would spend a few hundred more and search for a gmr torsen instead.

Another option is the engineered performance lsd. You can Google it to find it. Not sure on price of it but I'm almost positive this guy still makes them.

OK guys, learn me something, What is an LSD? I know it's a gear, but where does it go? What does it do for a car?

Limited slip differential aka lsd.

It is a locking diff so both tires always spin together at same speed unlike a standard diff. Makes for better launching and cornering and holds up to increased power way better.

Oh OK! I know what a Limited Slip Deferential is. Just couldn't make the connection with LSD. I didn't know you could get one for a FWD. Doesn't that cause more tire ware and pulling around corners?

No if anything it allows for more even tire wear on the front tires and does improve cornering, also improves traction slightly in snow/rain conditions

See now That's a Mod I may want to do! Although I would have to find a second Trans to do it to as to keep my Monte on the road as long as possible.
