The lsd helps in hard cornering because it won't spin just the inside wheel which when this happens pushes you straight. It will keep both wheels spinning the same so unless both tires break traction in a corner it won't spin. (If both tires break loose your 99% crashing from going way to fast)

There very hard to find man they been discontinued for a long time. And jc this can be installed in a afternoon it's very easy to do. It's right behind the passenger side axle right under the diff cover

This makes me a little excited! I was told by the guy who worked on my trans that the car drove like it had and lsd and i think he said he did confirm that it did. Wish I knew more about my cars history :/

That would be awesome if it has a true lsd in it man. Just to let you know though the factory diff will act like a lsd in most cases but when a drastic friction difference is put in place from one wheel to the other is when it doesnt.

Example all of my burnouts so far were on a factory diff and all times both wheels spun like a lsd diff would. I went to the track and there was vht down etc for a good hook. Well one tire got more traction then the other and I 1 wheel peeled off the line because of it which if I had a lsd I probably wouldn't of spun at all.

This is the reason why there better in rain and snow as well.

Well today I received a brand new trans from GM. Warranted for 5 years, 60,000 miles. The old one the housing physically had a hairline crack in it from the spider gears exploding inside. The trans came is a wooden crate actually but I busted it open to revile the trans.

Turbo monte, I found a local guy selling a gmr LSD, he's asking for best offer, I don't actually know what a used LSD goes for and I'm sure the brand effects the price too.

HA sweet snag for your Monte, hell an absolutely new tranny for nothing, hell you the man!!

If you can get the GMPP LSD from a local guy I would buy it in a heart beat if I was you. They are so rare, you could even resell it if you got it for the right price. I paid about $2200 for mine new a few years back. If you could get this used one for $500 you stole it, for a $1000 and it would be a very good deal, $1500 would probably be the high end for a used one, but still worth it as they can not really be found anymore.

Guess the big questions are is it truly a GMPP billeted LSD (not a clutch pack type) and how many miles are on it.

Ok ill c what he really wants for it first, if price is doable ill take it to the trans shop and have them verify it. It's coming out of a built GTP, he's parting it out and going RWD swap instead. Has 32 pulls and a burn out per pull. He has a recipte from when he bought it, and a transmission rebuild recipte from when he did get it installed last year may
