I'll keep it short, happened on my way to work this morning, its under warranty and shop is taking care of it. (They towed it, r repairing it currently, got me a rental, and the shop owner even wanted to compensate me for my time lost from work)Went to see what was it that blew the hell up....

Yea, gonna have shop instal an LSD, shift kit and a light duty cooler. They aren't charging for labor but I gotta pay parts. It's the 4T65E-HD in my car, my previous one was beyond repairable.

 

Hell yeah! POW!! that had to be quite the racket coming apart, lol, never nice to hear something like that rolling down the road.

A LSD is like impossible to find right now, best of luck, they are about $2400 new if you can find one, John had a line on one not to very long ago. Perhaps you may get lucky and find a de=mod going on and get a used one.

Good to see you had a stand up company build your last tranny, now hope they put a better technician on this build, would suck for it to come apart with the high dollar parts in her.

 

Greg is correct the torsen or the quaife are both discontinued and very hard to source. I think I know where there is a brand new torsen diff I can get you but it's very expensive as zippy stated.

 

Shop owner son has a thrasher LSD on hand from a wrecked turbo'd regal he mangled at the strip. Intense shift kit (gotta wait on shipping now) and some off brand cooler.

 

Nice. I don't know anything about the Thrasher lsd I know the intense one isn't the greatest. Sounds like a nice snag though. What's the asking price on the Thrasher lsd?

 

That sucks but at least it will work in your favor instead.

 

We haven't agreed on a price yet but we're only $400 off. I'll let u know what the final agreed price will be.

 

$1100 for the LSD, still waiting on shift kit...
