Bogging under light acceleration help!
Just to cover all bases to try to help these are all the things I did on my 2002 leading up to the eventual fix of my bogging problem in the order I recall them being done. Of course some of these may not have had any difference, but I will list them nonetheless.
Cleaned MAF sensor - eliminated slight stumble that happened every so often
Replaced spark plugs and Wires - noticed smoother acceleration
Fixed Loose Ground Wire - Acceleration and bogging became worse
Cleaned AIR Check Valve - Disassembly showed it was getting stuck and needed replacing, this was a temp fix
Replaced AIR Check Valve - Noticed less hiccups during low RPM acceleration sometimes
Cleaned Throttle Body - No apparent improvements, although it was extremely dirty, hence the improvement from cleaning the MAF
Replaced Oxygen Sensor Before CAT - No difference, but fixed my fault codes
Replaced Cracked Vacuum Elbow On AIR Check Valve- Eliminated stumble at idle, much improved low RPM acceleration. This was a huge step in the right direction, and I'm not sure how I didn't see the crack before(I put a new one on and that one soon cracked too, keep an eye on that). This combined with replacing the
Replaced Catalytic Converter - Bogging went away, problems solved, car ran awesome and had no problems at all
Replaced the Secondary Air Pump - Fixed the sound of sand in a hair dryer and drastically reduced the max 90 second high RPM idle time after startup (fixed some emissions faults too) No effect on engine performance
While I can say that the CAT fixed it all, I wont say that the things done before that didn't help, and that the CAT was the icing on the cake. Unfortunately I cant tell you exactly where your car is going wrong, but I can tell you that you should make sure to check the bolded parts, as those were things that really did make differences, besides the minor tune ups like plugs and wires.

im going thru the same thing as we speak..i really think it has something to do with the wires and the heat shields...have you tried a scanner to see if you have any misfires and if so which cylinder or cylinders? when i checked mine i had like 40 so i knew it had something to do with that...mine was number 6 and i unplugged that wire and ran another one just plain no shield or anything and that was the issue....note..i did everything you and others mentioned from changing the map...new o2 sensors..throttle position sensor..fuel filter...cleaned the idle air control and throttle body and was ready to buy a new catalytic converter. So the no heat shield fixed my issue but now i run into the wire melting.
