hey guys, I'm new in this forum and am in the process of purchasing a 2001 Monte SS, 3.8L. What would your various opinions be on the most beneficial upgrade, as well as the most cost efficient? **looking for 2 upgrades here...lol power, and cost**

just curious what i'm looking at for future projects.

I would have to say a chip/programmer and a CIA would be your best first upgrades...

There are some free/cheap mods as well that add small increases to HP. Here are a couple of links you may find of interest..
