Default 2006 Monte Carlo Steering

I had the clunk-thunk in the steering. I hunted it down today found it and fixed it.

The rubber boot around the steering column where it passes thru the fire-wall, pull the boot downward and spray grease(i used white lithium) on the steering column knuckle then turn the wheel 1/2 turnand do it again. This is inside the car frontwards beyond the brake pedal.

I hope this helps someone else, It has been driving me nuts.
