You either buy the wire harness to buypass them or you can cut wires on the fuse block i believe. Have you tried searching here on the site on how to disable them we have tons of threads about it.

You're trying to disable the daytime running lights/ automatic lights correct? Since my cars just a simple fuse pull to do so I don't know how to disable yours, and since nobody else posted anything I thought maybe i would be helping you in your search.
As far as removing the sensor I haven't done that either but it shouldn't be to hard to figure out on your own.
Either keep digging through them threads or wait for somebody to tell you the answer, it might take awhile for either one.

Here's a thread that may help. It doesn't tell you how to remove the actual sensor so you can solder a resistor. But it gives you other methods of getting the same results.

If you're hell bent on accessing the actual sensor ontop of the dash, you'd probably have to remove the dash pad. There's a How To topic in the 6th generation How To section, on how to remove your dash.
Hope this helps.

Ok, I never mentioned a word or question about the drls. All I asked was about removing the sensor so I could use a resistor to disable the auto headlights. That's the problem I have with all the searching about ahl. Everyone turns the thread into a drl discussion. I was hoping to not have to pull dash apart to get at the sensor connection.
