So, I would never have thought that these two parts might be related, but every time the airbag light comes on, the factory radio puts it so sound. The radio is on, I mean illuminated and can be adjusted, but puts out no sound. Sometimes they both work, but lately it's worse. Any thoughts? Thanks.

 

I would start with having someone with a good scan tool check what the air bag code is popping up for. Most cheap scan tools are unable to report those codes, so you might need a dealer with a Tech II scan tool to read it. From there, see if you can resolve that issue. Curious if it's a coincidence about the radio and air bag issue or if there is a short in the wiring crossing both items. My hope is the air bag code leads to a solution that somehow solves both issues.

 

Thanks. I have had someone trace the issue to the module under the passenger seat. I was mainly wondering if anyone had ever seen the two issues tied together.
