Hello everyone,I need some help,
2002 Monte Carlo SS 3.8,.SEL on and hard code for air pump failure, which stopped running a few months ago.I have a new pump but I need to know if it can be replaced from above or do I have to go through the wheel well ? I'm trying to get this car through E-Check,
any advise would be good, and thanks ahead of time.

Good ol' Ohio e-check. So many counties in Ohio and we live in one of 7 counties with E-Check.
I actually removed the California Emissions system from one of my two Montes. I did not want that stuff around, especially since service parts for them can be expensive. When I removed the pump, I believe I did it by removing the passenger side headlight. Just enough room if I recall. But you can probably have an easier time by removing the passenger splash guard/wheel skirt in the wheel well.
