Default air bag light/cruise control

About a month ago when I left my house I noticed my air bag light was on and on the way to my destination I noticed my cruise control no longer worked. I drove the car the day before; the light was not on and I used the cruise control with no issues. Didn't do anything to the car. Anyone have any idea what the issue could be? I haven't had any major work done to the car in almost two years.

car is a 2001 ss

i would say check all the fuses and wiring, ive had this issue before with the cruise control and a fuse blew easy replacement, then the airbag light was on and i found that a wire under my seat was torn so i had to splice that. but just check the fuses and wiring before you do anything major

Get access to a scan tool that can read the air bag information and find out why it popped a trouble code (should still be in the history). That is where I would start.
