While I haven't bought one yet, I've been looking at Eastern catalytic converters. They make a line specifically for GM they say addresses the dreaded P0420 error code problems that others often have. You can check them out at easterncatalytic.com and rockauto.com sells them. Since I have a 3.4 engine I wasn't interested in any other exhaust modifications, just not too much you can do with this engine. Good Luck.

Check to see if warranty still covers it. 8 years from in service and 80,000 miles is standard I think but some models are longer because they had problems.
