Hi all

I am having an issue with the temperature of my AC. It is fairly cold from the passenger side (would be nice if it was colder) but pretty much cool to warm air coming from the driver side which is a PITA. Any ideas? I am wondering if I should attempt to get the AC re-charged but wondering if it is worth the money. Thanks all

I take it that you have dual (driver/passenger) side controls
if so it sounds like the door motor or control that controls the temp is bad.

I do have the dual climate control. The switch was replaced last summer but didnt corect the problem. Any of those possibilities you suggested am i able myself to test and correct?

I had a Grand prix, and the right hand vent motor that controls the vents went bad
I had the dealer replace it (since I was buying the car used)
According to them the part cost almost 400 bucks (not sure if they where playing with me or not)
I do know its under the dash somewhere

You can go to AutoZone and use there new system called Z Net and it will give you step by step instrutions on how to do it.

 

eek! $400. damn. lol someone did warn me that dual climate is more of a PITA than an advantage. lol
