Default AC issue

All of a sudden, my AC is not working properly. Up until now, it has been strong and has blown ice cold.

Had my belt replaced today and when we started the car, the AC turned on/compressor spun.

On the drive home, the AC stopped working. About 20 minutes later, it kicked back on and was fine, for about 5 minutes.

When I was at the mechanic and it wasnt working, he said the compressor was fine and the freon was full. The problem was, the compressor was not getting power. He took apart the power source/plug and hooked it up to a voltage thing and it showed no power. He told me I have to see an AC or electrical specialist to see what is going on.

Had the AC checked today. All parts and functionality is good. Problem is, compressor not getting constant power. Back to the dealer tomorrow. Supposedly they are going to put it on the computer and check the power to the ground or power from the ECM???? something like that. Great. Bet your last dollar it wont be anything cheap.

Also, had my transmission checked today (routine - warranty check up), and the owner said the body control module is probably bad. Says it wont affect the performance of the car but it is showing all these codes and appears to not be functioning correctly. Great.

wish me luck!

I bet the compressor clutch fails when the engine is hot and been running the a/c for a few minutes. Have a mechanic back probe the 2 wire terminal at the clutch and look for battery voltage when the a/c stops. Also change the relay they become weak after awhile that could be the problem too.
