As for the compressor, well it getting bad. When the A/C is on, you can here a loud banging noise. A co-worker of mine actually could here it when I drove into the parking lot. And he was in the building!
Ouch... That sounds bad.. The good news is, summer is almost over...

Yeah, that doesn't sound too good.

And summer ending is not good, I'm not yet ready to contend with the black ice that is waiting for me this winter[]

Fortunately, Montes do very well in the winter weather. Mine has gotten me through 2 New England winters so far without incident.

I know it! I had to make sure and ask him "are you sure???" I even had him come out and listen to the noise. But with the hood up and the A/C on and off! **shaking head**

But yeah, I can't wait for this summer to be over!! The summer down here has been something else lately!

Yeah, I heard about the "dreaded black ice". Nothing to play with there!

Hey guys, just to let you all know, the A/C is finally fixed!!! I begged mom on Wednesday to take it to Pep Boys so they can get it checked out! Found out that the whole A/C system had to be repaired! New compressor, new clutch, new drier, a/c recharge, freon, etc.... But all in all the car is fine! The A/C is blowing nice cold air on both driver and passengers, cooling off the whole cabin. And the weirdest thing, too, when I accelerate the engine sounds much better!

Thanks guys...it was a bit costly...but it's worth it. And this will give me a good excuse to keep this car for another couple of years, lol!
