4th Gen ('81-'88): 89 SS with a 91 ZR1 motor and Trans

89 SS with a 91 ZR1 motor and Trans
I've Loved the 4Th Gen Monte Carlo SS since to first one I saw in 1986 in a parking lot in Long Island. So I came up with a plan. Once I have a house with a 2 car garage, to purchase an 88 or 89 SS Hard top, Black with Maroon interior. Then take out the 305cc motor and put in a Fuel Injected ZR1 and transmission from a Corvette. This Hot Car would be my Week End Driver.
Now, I know that I would have to use or program the PCM for the engine and Trans. My question is, how Hard would it be to do this swap? Almost every engine swap I've seen has been to a Carborated motor. I want the advantages of fuel injection. Is it that much easier to do a Carb or is it just the preference? I think my Monte SS with the Corvette drive train would be a Very Hot, Fast and Fun car!

Wow Space,
That would be Really Cool! But with 630Hp under the Hood, the only thing I would want to do is take that car to the track. My idea is to have a nice Classic-ish Monte SS to Cruise or take Long W/E trips and maybe take to a show or 3! A nice looking 350 to 400Hp fuel injected V8 in a Monte that looks powerful before you see What's under the Hood. It has to Purr at idle and Roar at W.O.T.. When next to a kid in his hopped up rice burner, he/she looks, smiles, gives a thumbs up and goes about their business without considering racing me. I want the work that will be put into it appreciated by Car enthusiasts. A comfortable, cozy Monte SS that has my blood sweat and knuckles all over it.
Mean While, YelloJAC will be my Pretty little DD. Some mods, solid driving car!
And you know, after putting this is a post, my inner voice asked me, "How Does It Feel To Want?"
My answer, "As long as it doesn't cost me $21,000 for the motor, I can Do it!"
