So,
I am buying a sick 88 ss and the only main problem is the "heating coil" starting leaking. So the air conditioning and heat aren't working-they blow just not cold-or hot.

Just seeking enlightenment and possible estimates for this works?

Is your Monte Stock or is there modifications ?

I hope that we have a member that can help or give you some idea on cost to repair, but it's difficult to give a answer with limited infor. A bad thermostat can cause your stated problem. Have you searched on the MCF Search Engine or web for same or similar problems with your make/model ?

It is pretty much stock except for an edelbrock carb and air filter.

But i'm not too familiar with this specific part. It is right on the top left end on the engine compartment (basically right where the ac module is on the dash) but the piece has been removed (it was leaking) the seller claims you DONT have to remove the dash for this work.
