Can anyone tell me the difference between what I have in my 2007 SS the LS4 5.3 liter and the 5.3 LM7 truck motor. Are they dimensionally the same? If not how are they different? And after perusing this forum for sometime I haven't found any leads on performance upgrades for the 5.3 LS4 besides the usual bolt ons. Can anyone lead me to available superchargers, head, camshaft and othermodifications, etc? Who does performance work on these 2007 SS 5.3 Monte's?I saw the post on the Canadian Turbo - I was not impressed from the feedback I read. I am in Michigan but anywhere would be fine,a car can be shipped cross country pretty cheap. Thank you

 

well the truck block should be iron and the SS block like all LS engines should be aluminum
and the LS4 is a special FWD block and it is about 1 inch shorter then all other LS series motor's but heads are the same so any aftermarket head will fit the motor
the intake is different because of the D.O.D feature but if deleted you can put any intake you want the cam will have be a regrind because of it being shorter not sure on headers idk if anybody makes them for the 06-07 SS yet ?

 

there are no superchargers for our cars...

there is a CarTek turbo setup, but it's about $6,000 - but not worth that much money it IMO...

there are no headers for our cars...

any LS series supercharger will fit but it probly not fit under the hood
