ls4 drop in 5th gen

Default ls4 drop in 5th gen

my friends dad just got in a wreck with his 06 ss and the back end is done for like terrible. like more trouble then its worth, well i have a 5th gen with a 4t65e trans could i fit the ss motor in mine? i mean mine works and everything its just i aint gonna pass up 303hp when its free lol. he is gonna junk it but said me and his son can take whatever we want from it.

yes the motor still works. 23k miles.

free? wow lucky u! unfortunatly i believed they used different drivetrains and suspensions. may be more trouble then its worth. how far away from milwaukee r u? lol jk

ha i live in indiana but ya like the back end part of the frame is bent and ya.
could i just take all the parts i needed out of the ss?

anything can be done. i do not know much about transferin 7th gen parts to a 5th gen. hopefully sum1 else can chime in

You know i think you should go for it. I mean really whats to loose? About a month and you have to put your old motor back in. 300 hp is alot.

i just started talking to the owner of milzy about it, he is dropping a 7.0 ls4 in an impala! after he turbocharges it.. i would hate to roll up on that thing.. anywhere.lol. no but he said i that i should be able to do it. the main problems i will run into is the wiring.
