Default 350 vs 454

does anyone know the length difference of a 350 block to a 454 block.i looked for a few days and cant find anything other then the weight difference..for some reason google mistakes length for weight..but i was talking to my dad about the swap and he mentioned my drive line wont work, and that ill have to buy one or get mine shortend.well, my response to that was ill just suck the motor forward more, he gave me a funny look and chuckled.so im looking at the difference's in lengths so i can start running numbers and measuring.thanks for any info gals/guys.have a fun t-day and xmas.i got snow pics ill get them up soon

You should be able to move the mounts to fit the 454 in...my 85 monte fit a 402 BBC....multiple mount locations....

Yep , the trans stays where its at . The mounts are on the block in different locations to compensate. the only time you would need a different driveshaft is if your useing a different trans.

yep either will fit easily you could fit 2 350's end to end in there if the fan and rad are taken out probably. not that anyone should think that it is a good idea to try. look on youtube for the '70 cummins monte carlo. that is a long engine and pretty cool what the guy did.
