3.4 la1, 4t65 in a 97 monte :)
Yeah ive been planning an s/c 3.8 since the mymonte days, just had ther things on the car to do first, plus i had to get the parts to swap it in. Kinda helps that i moved next to a kikass jy
Btw i noticed on a lot of swap threads they say to use 98 z34 tranny lines with a 98-02 4t65 in a 95-99 monte, on my 01 4t65, ilthey werent even close. Currently have franknstiened lines lol. Working on finding drop in lines. Also thinking about swapping to an n/a 3.8 around the first of the
Year already have the 98z34 harness and n/a pcm just need heater hoses and lower radiater hose(and engine lol) ill topswap later. Have a place for now to do an engine swap, thinking i better do it while i can. Also be a good way to keep track of my swap parts. Anything wrong with using l67 injector on an l36?
you deff don't want to swap injectors without tuning. not sure why the 98 Z34 trans lines didn't work right with the 4t65e they should be the same. I pretty much did the same thing and ran a L36 for two years until i had my heads ported and all the other parts i wanted. if your going to pull the engine and feel ambitious, you could always slice up the fire wall and make room for headers. trust me if your going topswap you will need them. the thread bumpin wrote on here works for pacesetter headers. if you go with speed daddy let me know and i will tell you where to add more clearance.
Yeah that would b kool. Unsure of what headers im gonna run so any info would b appreciated
. On the lines, the z34 lines were threaded, the 01 ss lines were quick disconnect. Unscrewed the qd fittings and it was a different size than the z lines
