hey folks i got a quick question im swapping in a 95 3.1 into a 98,looks like a easy swap only prob i can see is the egr valves are different 95 motor has a 4 wire connector and 98 has a 5 wire connector i wanna do this swap right can i just switch the egr valves around or will i have to swap the whole intake manifold?

hmm in not 100% sure but i think u ahve to swap the wiring harness as well

 

If your gonna spend the money to swap in a new engine just put the L67 in there. If your gonna go through the time, effort and money might as weel see some perfomance out of it.

 

ill tell ya why im sticking to the 3.1 1st the car that has the bad motor i got for 100 bucks no rust no dents excellent int never been smoked in even,super clean,and the doner car (t-boned)i bought for 125 bucks with brand new good year tires and a 3.1 that runs like a top with 81,000 miles.
bottem line is cash flow im layed off and im trying to do this on the cheap,i dont need a hot rod i need a good running,safe and dependable car for my daughter who gets drivers permit next week,thank you for your suggestion,now maybe if i can get my original post answered i can get this sweetheart on the road b4 she gets her permit.
