2006 transmission problems

Default 2006 transmission problems
My Monte has a second transmission put in about 3 1/2 years ago. The other day I get in to go to the store, I back out of the driveway put it in drive and nothing! All I have is 1st, 2nd and reverse. No warning, no slipping or jerking. Has anyone ever had this happen? Do I need another transmission? Not a happy camper!

May I ask? Do your reverse lights stay on in park? Because I have something like this.. I have NO PARK P=Reverse it still drives.. I have to shift all the way down then bring back to N to drive

sounds like a linkage issue.
