2006 Monte Struts
Good to know about the AGX/Canuck pairing.
For the heck of it, below are a few pictures of the lowering setups I've done to both Monte Carlos I have owned; my prior 03 SS and current 06 SS. Both have been a very decent ride quality in my opinion. Also, to note, I would highly recommend all new strut mounts. Upper and lower insulators are swapped over to the new assemblies from the old factory strut assemblies. Let us know if you have any further questions.
This is the Bilstein HD/Canuck setup I'm currently running on my 2006 SS. Here's my thread for this project > https://montecarloforum.com/forum/ti...istress-37750/.

And this is the KYB AGX/Eibach setup I ran on my prior 2003 SS.

have a 2001 SS it is stock have a cid and a custom exhaust put kyb plus shocks on front not happy with them I also found out that the shock you pick has alot to do with the suspension package that came with the car. if you look at the SPI [service part identification] or also known as RPO which is located on the trunk lid it will tell which suspension you have.Your car could have 1 of 3 FE1 is soft ride, FE2 system, ride , handling or FE3 sport so this has some impact on which shock to chose good luck

Regarding the Monte Carlo, the FE4's struts are tuned differently for a firmer ride, better handling and control over the FE2 package.
That's literally what I was thinking, and they are completely different. I see the GR2 as being more of a comparable factory replacement and, obviously, the AGX as a sportier upgrade.
Nice, that looks good and sits just right. After you get some miles on it, let us know your thoughts on the ride quality with the setup you went with.
