Default 2006 Monte Struts

Hi Guys,
I have a 2006 Monte LS. I have been looking for the best shocks I can get for my 06. It seem things are limited. I found KYB AGX the seller says that the product fits 2000-2006. All others say 2000-2005. Can I trust that these will fit? KYB - KYB AGX Adjustable Struts #

Im new to the Monte Carlo so Im looking for professional help before I buy.

Any suggestions on where to go or make sure the parts will fit an 06?

Hope I'm posting in the proper way and place.

Greg

Are you only looking for adjustable?

Bilstein makes a great strut and I have enjoyed them, however they are not adjustable. They tend to be pretty expensive at close to 300$

There is a heavy duty strut but they also make and a comfort strut

no not only adjustables. Im doing the 1.7 drop springs and wanted the best I can get. It seems that all the bilsteins were discontinued and all eibach springs for my year have been discontinued. Some parts places specify 2000-2005 as a fit but dont include 2006. One supplier shows 2000-2006 as the same. just wondering what the difference is between 2005 and 2006.

and thanks for the link to Andy's looks like the right stuff. I originally wanted the bilstein heavy rather than comfort. If my deal falls through with these guys (CLICK HERE) I will be going to the site you have provided me.

Yes i did lower mine. I used Canuck Motor Sport Springs -- check them out before you buy. Myself and a couple other people here have used them. They are based in Vancouver Canada but they should be able to ship them to you pretty quick.

Store > Car Lowering - Canuck Motorsports Online Store: Car Truck SUV lowering lift kits.

From what I've heard, Bilstein's are being discontinued; I got strong confirmation over on GMLS4. Kind of making more sense now because I've seen people stating they can only find the Bilstein rears right now.

Eibach (Pro-Kit) lowering springs were discontinued a while ago. Canuck Motorsports is SSC, they're the same company. I have the Canuck Motorsports lowering springs paired with Bilstein struts on mine. Matt (Slugger088) and I have the exact same setup.

Wow, that's crazy I did not know about the Bilsteins. I need to get my front passenger strut checked out immediately in case I do need a replacement and need to order one before they are gone.

Nice info guys, I did order from Canuck so it must have been your post that I saw. So far my only concern with the KYB AGX shocks is most sites distinguish a difference between 05 and 06 shocks a being different but this site (CLICK HERE) shows 2000-2006 as the same shock. I hope their cataloging is right because I ordered today.
