Default 2006 LT - E-Brake pedal goes to floor

I'm not too familiar with the e-brake setup on the Monte; the pedal goes to the floor when pressed, and the e-brake doesn't hold. Do the parking brake shoes need to be replaced, or does the rear cable just need to be adjusted? I'm doing the rear pads and rotors later today, so I'll have a better idea as to what the shoes look like, but I just wanted to get some info from you guys.

Thanks!

Car has 113,xxx kms

I'm guessing that the e-brake is cable operated. If it used to work and now goes to the floor, it could be a cable failure. I'd start by checking the cable and all the connections.

I'm having the same problem...I swear I've seen a parking brake adjusting tutorial on this site somewhere, but for the life of me can't find it again. Can anyone point us in the right direction?
