I wish I did have resources to fix it myself.
While the car looks good on the top side, the bottom is apparently full of rust holes starting from underneath the fender flairs. When I bought the car in 2015, the bottom of the car was pretty much bare metal. I new it would rust but I didn't think it would happen so fast since I don't use the car that much. Life lesson learned!

Hi Scott where are you located? I have a junk yard close to me that has 2-3 of these cars. I like JUNK YARD PICKING, As for the heat related issues I also have a Black-on-black SS regular ss,Tint the windows use sun block shades [[ cheap silver one's work'' It definitely will help save your interior. Chris
