Default 2004 Monte Carlo help

doesn't start unless I press the gas pedal. the other problem I have is that sometimes when my car is coasting to a stop or to make a turn the engine dies. New ignition coils new spark plugs and wires cleaned the maf. Added sea foam to the tank the rpm still fluctuating no check engine light and no codes

Might be a problem with the MAF sensor

First thing that comes to mind is the IAC valve. Sounds like its not opening enough to let air in to idle so opening the throttle blade is making up for that.

MAP maybe? Most of the time, cleaning the MAF will fix it but sometimes its just faulty and needs to be replaced.

Which engine is this for? My 2nd reply was stating MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor. As for the MAF, is it an ACdelco brand?

With the car idling, unplug the MAF and see if it runs better. If it wont idle, unplug the MAF THEN try to start it. See if that helps for the moment.

Does the engine have any visible fluid leaks and have you checked for any vac leaks?
