Default 2002 Monte Carlo SS battery replacement.

Is there an easy way of doing this? I have never owned a Monte Carlo myself I am trying to replace the battery on my moms Monte Carlo. From the look of it it's not going to be an easy task a lot of stuff in the way and no simple way of just getting to the battery without removing some parts. Any one with some advice would be much appreciated.

they like it in their homes, and they really dont seem to want to come out and play... but i belive what i usually do is:

disconnect the battery
remove the brace above it
take off the battery hold down
remove fusebox fasteners
slide the fuse box out and up a couple inches
tip up the battery on end, so that the side at the rear is facing up
lift out the battery

install in reverse

You might need to twist the battery around a bit too. I was able to pull mine in about 5 min with tools in hand, but a good chunk of the time was just trying to pull the darn thing out from its place.
