Default 2001 Monte LS mine now

Hi all, I bought a 2001 Monte LS 3 years ago for my daughter. She just bought a new car and gave it back to me. So now what to do?

It needs a wheel bearing, pass key problem fixed and 2 new tires.

Wheel bearing and tires easy!

Pass Key problem is a pain!

It has 120K and runs great!

So should I fix her up and drive as my second car and save miles on my lease or sell it and let someone else have fun with her?

Me personally,
I'd dump the lease and enjoy being a Monte Carlo owner/driver!

I say keep it, get it ready and use it as a winter car

Yes, back from Wisconsin!

I'm still thinking what to do. I did the rear brakes on the Monte yesterday. The car runs great, so I left the civic in the driveway and brought the Monte to work.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts!

I'll have to take a pic of the Monte.

The monte is coming along well!

Good deal for front tires! Done!

Bypass the ignition! Done!

Found a slit on the boot that covers the intermediate shaft and sprayed grease on it. Now the noise is gone!

Had to change the wiper fluid reservoir and hazard light switch. Found both of the parts in the junk yard!

I have to put the dash back together in the morning.

Time for a beer!

I'm getting the Monte dialed in. I just did the plugs, wires, pvc and fuel filter.

I have the trac and abs lights on. Everything is solid, so I'm thinking a wire or connector problem.

One thing I notice is while driving the drivetrain is smooth, but sometimes there is a feeling like a worn motor or trans mount when shifting gears. Does anyone have a idea what causes this?
