I'm going nuts, my 2000 Monte SS stalls while driving. Seems to happen when vehicle slows at a stop. No codes or check engine light comes on. It starts right back up and might run for an hour or a week. Then my oil pressure gauge just went out for two days, now it works fine. "yes there's oil in it." Drove 300 miles then as i'm pulling in my driveway it stalls, this time I had to crank it quite a bit to get it to start. It starts and has run for 10 days fine. Then it stalled as I was running about 35 miles per hour. Starts right up, then stalls at a stop light. Only has 60K miles. Any Ideas? I'm not sure even what to check at this point. I wish something would just break and I would know what was wrong.

Lots of stuff to check here. First thing I would recommend would be to replaced the fuel filter. You're probably getting up there in miles and due for the change anyway. Also you could try fuel injector cleaner as a few might be dirty.

Other things to try would be checking plugs and wires, trying a different brand of gas, have the battery and alternator checked out as you didn't note how those were reading.

 

The reason I say the battery and alternator is because both were faulty on my 96 Saturn and I had a similar problem. When Autozone diagnosed they were bad, I replaced them and it ran great for 2 years before I traded it in.

 

I have been dealing with the same problem, check your Mass Air Flow Sensor. Found out that mine was producing voltage spikes which when slowing done would kill the system due to false readings.
