Unless you can get the Certificate of Authenticity from the original owner there isn't much you can do.
I think the place that used to handle your type of questions/information has since shut down and closed.
Was this a 1 owner vehicle? you may want to go back to the owner if you're able to and ask if he still has the info.

It's worth a shot.
You have nothing to lose at this point, good luck.

The GM Heritage / Archives website can direct you through the maze and help you with authenticating you PC. Just be super nice and they'll hook you up with a letter from GM / Chevrolet recognizing the serial number of the car. They cross-match your VIN with their records and that will show what number your car is. I did it with my Dad's 2000he just purchased and found it to be #47. Just talk ALOT about your love of their products and it'll get you EVERYWHERE!!!

Perhaps there maybe some info on the build sheets Gm put in the Pace Cars? I don't know..... I do know that the build sheets have alot of info on the car that you have, but I don't have a clue where they would be. Most of the time they are under the rear seat of the car.... Anyway good luck ......

P.S. I have a 2001 Pace Car that I got a month ago and no paper work......Bummer!!
