2000 mc ss stumbling in gear only
yesterday the car had no issues. today i drive down the block and it starts stumbling when i give it gas. the further i drove the more the stumble. brought it to AutoZone for a scan they said only the o2 was showing which ive had showing since ive owned the car so its not that.
it feels like a miss fire. but no codes.? i had an turbo eclipse a few years ago and it would do the same thing. that turned out to be that the motor got so hot(boosted) it stretched the arms of the plugs ever so slighty further open and my spark was getting blown out.
i know i should start with spark and fuel. im sure its not fuel. im just tryin to collect intel on my issue before i dive in.
i did read that mabey the cat could cause this but wouldnt that throw a code or is that the o2 code that ive had and the cat has finally had it?
any input is appreciated.

What's the code??
The cats won't necessarily through a code.
It could also be your MAF sensor, unplug it and see if the stumbling stops or not. If so, then disconnect your battery buy some MAF cleaner, spray it down (don't touch anything) let it air dry completely, and reinstall. Wait 30 minutes and reconnect the battery.

i replaced the maf in march. it was causing all kinds of problems before i replaced it.
i read that the autozone sensors are garbage.
ill try and clean it. see what that does.
im not sure the code number the guy just said it was the o2 sensor code. but as i said ive had that code since before i changed the maf the last time.
ill keep you posted
