2000 chevy monte carlo ss trans issue
I have a 2000 monte ss an about a month ago I changed out the transmission fluid to the dextron 6 an now it slips a lot more than before. Should I change the fluid back to the original type an weight or is there some kind of additive I can add ? Or what do I do any suggestions guys?

Was it slipping before? Old fluid contains bits of friction material that has worn away over time. By changing the fluid, you have lost any extra "grip" this fluid may have provided. This is why I am not a big fan of doing a lot of trans services. I suggest every 60k unless you run the car hard, then ever 30k.
But to answer your question, No. There is nothing you can do that is going to help if it is an actual slip. You could be mistaking it for a long shift, which is caused by the PC solenoid and is very common to go out on these trans.

2000 Monte trans issues
I posted about this before an you guys gave me great info about the trans problems. I think it might be the pc solenoid about how much does it cost to have it replaced an is this something I can do myself or does the whole tranny need to be taken out to do. An as always any help would be greatly appreciated.
