Thumbs up 1999 Monte Carlo Z34 3800 series ll spark plug change success!

I was trying to figure out an easy way to change my back 3 spark plugs, of course the front 3 were easy.
I heard all the suggestions for it and realize that if I remove the nut (s) off the wiring harness on the firewall, it's worth a try.
I had a time removing the original ( I think) wires from the plugs but once I did ,it was a lot easier to change them out. It takes a little bit of time but I did it in under an hour. A word of advice....
Patience and anti-sieze before you install the new plugs.
Thanks for reading!

You're welcome!

It was a beast getting the old plug wires off but unbolting the wiring harness/clips from the firewall and slightly moving the hose to the heating core from the position to be able to reach behind the engine, took less than 20 minutes.

Pulling the old plug wires off the back of the engine took at least 40 minutes. I went about it slowly to not damage anything and create a bigger job/ bill.
The front were easier with no issues.
Total job was actually 1 hr and 30 minutes rounded up....

$125.00-$140.00

I'm no mechanic but I wanted to save money and not get raked over the coals.

I'm glad to be a part of this site and my next job will be replacing a radiator and moonroof motor on my Monte Carlo Z34.
It's nice to read and find help.
