Default 1996 Z34 Starting Problem???

So the day I got laid off in January the car died. Towed it back assuming fuel pump went. Been riding motorcycle for summer and have a truck. I just went to mess with it after sitting for 7 months. Turned the key to on position and didn't hear relay click on. Hit pressure release on fuel rail and alot of gas came out.

One thing I noticed is connected to fuel rail under plastic cover is two things connected by a hose. Hose is crumbled at both ends. The one on right side is listed as Fasco 24506192. What are these and would they keep car from starting????

I don't know about the fuel rail. I do know that after seven months of sitting idle my 95 LS will not start because the battery is likely dead. Doesn't matter battery new or old. The clock runs it down. I've been able to get three months between starts but not seven.

I believe you are talking about the fuel pressure regulator. Was the hose that crumbled a small black vacuum line leading to the throttle body. If that line was bad it would keep the FPR from opening and getting the correct amount of fuel to the injectors. Could very well be your problem.
