Did GM put a 3.8 in the 1996-1997 z34.....If so what was the HP...Regards....Tom H

I believe they only had the 3.1 & 3.4 as options in that bpdy style. Phoenix would probably know.

yep the 96's options were 3100 in ls and Z34 had a 3.4L DOHC
97 had the same 3100 and the Z34 had a further upgraded 3.4L DOHC along with a better trany.

98 and 99 had the 3800 engine
