Default 1970 monte wheel hop issue

Hey guys I am having problems with wheel hop during launches and burnouts.
I Have the rear end of the car raised 2 inched higher than stock and like the look so I don't want to change that. The rear suspension bushings have not been replaced, will that help? One option I have seen it lift bars from umi, have any of you used these? Any help with this issue would be appreciated.

A rear sway bar would help out a lot

You could change it over to a 4 bar system that would solve all your traction wheel hop issues!

How'd you raise the rear of the car? If your running air shocks...That's a Major part of the problem.

You'd be better off with a coil over setup. also. Or convert it over to leaf spring setup using a ford 9" rearend .

I lifted the rear with new coil springs, they were station wagon springs for a Chevelle. I don't have a huge budget so a new rear end or major modifications are out.

The U.M.I peices are nice and not too outragous on price. combined with polyurthane bushings on the rear-end housing, that should take care of it.
