I was just informed by the mrs that my "Code Alarm" on the Monte no longer beeps./ No alert tones) Since this Morning..

It still does all its functions, Locks unlocks the doors,open the trunk,and the auto start still works./ with corresponding light indicators(Blinks)

Unfortunately, I have no clue what Model it is...(Code Alarm)
I used it last night... and it worked just fine!


Anyone here proficiant with a 14 yr old Code Alarm system?
I tried to look it up on the net...with no results for my model, year, etc ...
I do know in 1999 it was the latest and the greatest Code Alarm out there!

This is the 1st issue I have ever had with it...In 14 yrs!
Could it be something as simple as the Alert horn is Burned out?

i had this problem when i first got my car. and the simple fix was that my horn fused burnt out, replaced and its been working since...hopefully that might point you in the right direction

 

Thanks for the suggestion..its not hooked up to the cars horn...
It has its own separate siren/horn...

 

I had a Code Alarm system on one of my vehicles years ago that the siren went bad on. Do you have a speaker you can hook up temporary to test the module?

 

Ironically:
I don't... I thru them out last spring when I cleaned out the garage last spring.
But, its good to know..it maybe the horn and not a complete system failure..
